Treat yourself with tranquility everyday with these majestic Ko’olau mountains and waterfalls
Inspiration behind the painting: In the seasons of life, sometimes we are in the valley. We can’t see much of what is ahead, like how we can see from the mountain top, and yet there is life in the valley. It’s a place where one may be refreshed and rejuvenated. Waterfalls flow to the valley, not the mountain top. Flowing waters symbolize movement and life even though there seems to be a pause in the journey. It may even appear like things have come to a halt. You may feel restless or maybe even forgotten, but embrace this season of being in the valley so you’ll be refreshed for the next season which will be a good season. You are not forgotten. The light symbolizes that He sees you and His lights shines on you. You are not alone. He is with you, restoring your soul.
The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.
Psalm 23:1-3 NIV
Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers.
Psalm 1:1-3 NIV
Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy.
Psalm 126:5 NKJV
